Local Schools Competition

In 2006 we held a story competition involving six schools from the local
area; the winner of our schools competition is Childer Thornton Primary School, with their story ‘Colin the Courageous Cabbage’.

A CD entitled ‘6 of the Best’ is available in store. For every CD sold each of the six schools involved will receive £1.

The Story Garden in conjunction with Taffy Thomas MBE won a Bravo 'Blue Sky' Award for the most 'inspirational, innovative and effective' partnership.

Own Our Story Garden Stories On CD

Take one of our stories home for your children to enjoy time and time again for bedtime and car journeys. The stories, specially recorded for Burleydam Garden Centre's Story Garden feature a tale told by Taffy Thomas, along with easy to follow tips for planting a variety of plants and are available on CD in our Children's department.
